Music is an important part of the worship service at St. Mark Community Church. \u00a0The primary task of the Music Ministry is to prepare the congregation\u2019s\u00a0heart to be receptive to the preached word through worship and praise to God. \u00a0The Music Ministry has the awesome task of evangelizing through musical\u00a0expression. \u00a0We are also a ministry of encouragement. \u00a0Our musical\u00a0presentations are designed to motivate the entire congregation by offering a\u00a0variety of music. \u00a0God delights in the songs and praises of His people knowing\u00a0that true praise is a prerequisite to knowing His presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Children\u2019s Choir\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 A Children\u2019s Choir has been organized. \u00a0We are still seeking children ages 4 up to 12 wanting to sing and to be a part of this ministry. \u00a0The Children\u2019s Choir practices at 10 am on the Saturdays before the\u00a02nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays and they sing every 4th Sunday.\u00a0\u00a0(Train up a child in\u00a0the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it,\u00a0Proverbs 22:6)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sanctuary Choir<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This choir is the most versatile within the Music Ministry. \u00a0The Sanctuary Choir sings a broad spectrum of gospel music to reach\u00a0the various requirements of God and the needs of the congregation. \u00a0The\u00a0Music Ministry is always seeking voices in all ranges to be part of this ministry. \u00a0The Sanctuary Choir practices each Wednesday following weekly Bible Study\u00a0and sings every 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. \u00a0\u00a0(Make a joyful\u00a0noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. \u00a0Serve the Lord with gladness: come before\u00a0His presence with singing, Psalm 100:1-2)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Male Choir<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This is a choir of men who love to sing about the goodness\u00a0of God, the father, Son and Holy Spirit and are not ashamed to praise the Lord\u00a0through song. \u00a0God is calling for the leadership of men in the church. \u00a0The Male\u00a0Choir practices at 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays before the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sunday\u00a0and they sing every 3rd Sunday.\u00a0\u00a0(I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people:\u00a0And will sing praises unto thee among nations, Psalm 108:3)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
