Our Beliefs

The Holy Scriptures– We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired and infallible Word of God:  and that it is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.  (II Timothy 3:16-17)

The Godhead – We believe in the one true God, who is creator of all things and who eternally exist in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (Genesis 1:1-3, 26; I John 5:7-8)

The Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ – We believe that the Lord Jesus is the only begotten Son of God; fully God and fully man, conceived of Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins.  He died and was buried was resurrected, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father and now is our High Priest and Advocate.  (John 3:16, Luke 24:7, I Cor 15:12-23)

Salvation– We believe that salvation is wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the requisites to regeneration and repentance toward God and faith in the Lord; that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God

Security of the Believer – We believe that all who trusts Jesus Christ for salvation are eternally secure in Him and cannot lose their salvation.  (John 3:36; John 5:24; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:35-39; Hebrews 10:39; I Peter 1:5)

The Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.  His ministry is the glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of their sins, to regenerate the believing sinner, to indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.  He enlightens and empowers the church in worship, evangelism and service.  (Matthew 3:16; John 16:7-14)

Church Ordinances– We believe in water baptism, through immersion as an act of obedience and in the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion), and that they should be observed by all believers until His return. (I Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 6:3-7; Matthew 26:26-29, I Corinthians 11:23-26)

Sanctification – We believe in sanctification, separation unto holiness is a definite, yet progressive work of grace, beginning at salvation and continuing throughout the life of the believer.  (Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23)

The Responsibility of Leaders – We believe that God anoints leaders (Senior Pastor, Elders, and Deacons) to guide His Church in the understanding and application of the Holy Scriptures.  It is their responsibility to be examples of godliness as they see to the spiritual well being and protection of the flock over which God has given them charge.  (Acts 6:1-8; Acts 20:28; Hebrews 13:17, I Peter 5:1-3)
